My favourite (Youtubers) Halloween-Tips

Hello Muggles,

so Halloween is coming nearer and nearer and although I'm a huuuuge scaredy-cat I quite enjoy it... mainly because of "The Nightmare Before Christmas"! :D

I have to admit that I'm not good at giving advices when it comes to Halloween dresses, makeup etc., so I thought I'd show you some of my favourite Youtubers and their Halloween-related clips. :)

1) MAKE UP

Urrrgh, horrible thumbnail, Tanya (pixi2woo)! But this is what a good Zombie makeup should look like. :)

If you want to look even more unattractive, try out Nicola Haste's (pixiwoo) very impressive but complex Frankenstein-look. :D

One of my absolute favourites is "Miss Argentina" from "Beetlejuice" by Samantha Chapman (pixiwoo) - this is my personal taste of a reeeeeally cool Halloween costume / makeup! :)

If you're looking for a last minute thing, you should definitely check out Sam's (beautycrush) interpretation of Batman's Poison Ivy.

And here we go with another pixiwoo video. I said this in my "Why I wear make up"-TAG but one reason why I "love" makeup is the fact that you can be an artist and turn it into something beautiful and exciting - just like Nic did it with the Emily-look of Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" (which is one of my favourite films by the way)! :)

If you don't like dressing up but still want to look a little bit more "special" on Halloween, have a look at the "Glamourous Party Make Up"... by pixiwoomadness (too much pixiwoo over here^^).

2) COSTUME

No comment. xD

3) DECORATION ETC.

Although this is in German, I would like to show you because you can understand the very cute and creepy ideas of spooky food / snacks without knowing the language. There is some VERY cool stuff in it, so make sure you watch it! :)

Here you have hilarious Jim Chapman (yes, another Chapman^^) making the greatest pumpkin ever! Long live Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king! :D

That's it from my Halloween-Tips... which weren't actually mine. :D
I will now go and make my own Jack Skellington pumpkin - see how it turned out here:

I hope you found that helpful and entertaining and I wish you a spectacular Halloween-feast!

Please let me know how you are celebrating Halloween and as what / whom you will dress up in the comment section! :)

Have a lovely day and see you next time,
Hermione

Tips for school (A-levels): #8 Take enough food with you

Hello Muggles,

I hope you can (still) take me seriously after the upcoming post. :')

#8: Take enough food with you

-> When I think of my A-level time I remember those days where I had to sit in school from 8am to 5pm... no fun at all. So, if you have to stay in school that long it is super important that you eat enough, so your brain doesn't suddenly stop working.
I don't know if there are canteens or cafeterias in your school but in mine there was nothing like that. We had a little kiosk where you could buy half a roll with cheese for almost 2 € but... seriously? -.-
After waking up in the morning it took me the longest time to make my breakfast / lunch for school but it was worth it. :'D
If you feel that your concentration says goodbye but there are still some lessons to come it's better to eat something than be down for the rest of the day.
It actually helps a lot to eat a wholesome breakfast at home in the morning, as well. I know that there are some people, who can't eat that early but at least try to have a breakfast shake then.
By the way: The perfect school-lunch-meal for me contains 1) a bottle of water, juice or milk, 2) a sandwich, 3) fruits or vegetables and 4) something sweet like a chocolate bar or even better: a yogurt. :)

I would love to read your comments about school food. :)

See you next time,
Hermione

As you can see I'm a very healthy eater. :')  Although I might eat too many sweets I still have a loooot of fruits and vegetables every day - so I think that's fine especially because I'm one of those hatred people, who don't gain weight. :'D

If you haven't read my past five "Ten Day You Challenge" posts than you can still check them out. ;)

I would appreciate a little comment and maybe you want to write about your favourite food in the comment section down below. :)

Have a nice day and see you next time,
Hermione

Sunday Favourite

Hey everyone,

today I'd like to present you a "new category" I thought of and it's the "Sunday Favourite(s)". Every Sunday I will show you something I really like and it can be nearly everything (books, films, clothes, make-up, food...). I hope you'll enjoy that. :)

My first Sunday Favourite is Ben & Jerry's "The Vermonster". It's Maple Syrup Ice Cream with Caramelised Pecans and a Caramel Swirl.

To be honest: I don't like Maple Syrup and I would never go for nutty flavoured Ice Cream but this one is just SO good! ...And this is not good at all because Ben & Jerry's is so expensive in Germany. It's only available at petrol stations and you have to pay 6,49 Euros for 500ml. How is it in other countries? Does anyone know if it's cheaper in America for example? :)

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed The Vermonster... but it was empty too fast. ;)

Tell me what you think about Sunday Favourite(s)... and Ice Cream. ;)

I hope you have a nice day - see you next time.
